Grey Matter Cup Taster Competition

We are super-duper stoked to be hosting the Grey Matter Cup Tasters Competition: Coffee Con Edition!  We have always wanted to introduce something new, something different and hopefully an exciting competition to diversify the coffee scene in Brunei.

Background

The Cup Tasters Competition awards the coffee cuppers who demonstrate speed, skill, and accuracy in distinguishing the taste differences in specialty coffees.

So, for all those looking for a new challenge, met us on 13 October 2024 at Part 2 of BWN Coffee Con 2024!

  • Competitors

    16 competitors, with 4 competitors competing every round.

     

    The top 4 competitors will proceed to the Final Round with the most accurate and fastest the winner!

  • Rules and Regulation

    We are using a modified and simplified version of the Rules and Regulations from the World Cup Tasters.

  • Did you know?

    Cup Taster is part of the World Coffee Event sanctioned events which includes World Barista, World Latte Art and World Brewers Competition

  • Did you know?

    A similar competition to World Cup Tasters would be the Iron Tongue Competition which would be held during Jakarta Coffee Week this year

  • World Cup Taster 2025

    The next world competition would be held in Geneva, Switzerland in June 2025.
